Cookie policy
The marketing site does not track you, our visitor analytics is cookieless, and we only ask for consent where a cookie is genuinely needed.
This page describes exactly which cookies KimonRecruit sets, when, and how to change your mind. The short version: the marketing site does not track you, our visitor analytics is cookieless, and the only place we ask for cookie consent is the one page where a cookie is genuinely needed. Last updated: June 2026.
How consent works here
You will only see our cookie banner on the book a demo page, because that is the only page where an optional cookie is used: the embedded Cal.com booking calendar needs one to remember your booking choices. The banner follows the European Data Protection Board's guidance:
- Everything optional is off by default. Doing nothing means no optional cookies are set.
- "Reject all" is as prominent as "Accept all". Equal-weight buttons, with Reject all presented first.
- The calendar stays gated until you choose. If you decline functional cookies, the booking calendar is replaced with a placeholder and an email alternative; nothing loads behind your back.
The cookies we set
| Cookie | Category | Set when | Lifetime | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| kr_cookie_consent_v1 | Necessary | When you make a choice in the cookie banner on /book-demo | 180 days | Records your consent choice so we do not ask again on every visit |
| Session and CSRF cookies | Necessary | When you sign in to the platform | Session | Keep you signed in securely; required for the application to function |
| Cal.com booking cookies | Functional (off by default) | Only after you accept functional cookies on /book-demo and the booking calendar loads | Set by Cal.com | Let the self-hosted Cal.com calendar remember your booking choices |
| kr_utm | Necessary (first-party attribution) | When you land on an employer's hosted careers page via a job board link | Short-lived | Tells the employer which job board your application came from; contains no identifier about you, only the campaign parameters from the link you clicked |
The analytics category in the banner is empty today: our visitor analytics (GoatCounter) is cookieless by design and never sets a cookie. The category exists so that if we ever adopt a tool that needs one, it will be off by default and asked for properly, rather than slipped in.
How to change or withdraw your choice
- Return to /book-demo and use the Open cookie preferences control to reopen the preferences dialog and change any category at any time.
- Or delete the kr_cookie_consent_v1 cookie in your browser settings; the banner will ask again on your next visit to /book-demo.
- Withdrawing functional consent unloads nothing retroactively on Cal.com's side; you can additionally clear cookies for cal.kimonrecruit.com in your browser.
What we deliberately do not do
- No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, anywhere.
- No cookie walls: every public page works fully with optional cookies declined.
- No consent nagging: decline once and we respect it for 180 days, the same period an acceptance lasts.
